Kathryn D. Fuller holds a B.S. in English from Troy University, an M.A. in Teaching from Austin Peay State University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). She has worked in entertainment, journalism, marketing, education, online retail, and finance. Currently, she is a Principal Project Manager for a business development group at a Fortune 500 company, where she manages a $250M+ portfolio of projects focused on mergers and acquisitions, product development, process improvement, and business transformation.
Formerly, she served as a writer, editor, and public affairs specialist for the Commanding General of U.S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox. As a member of the Commander’s Planning Group, she managed special research and data projects, wrote and edited official command correspondence, educated internal and external stakeholders of the commander’s intent and vision, recommended and planned strategic engagements and congressional interactions for members of the command team, and coordinated their participation at events hosted by universities, national organizations, corporations and government entities from across the nation.
Prior to her role with the military, Kathryn led a team of content and feature writers for a large-scale online retailer; taught middle and high school; chaired a continuous school improvement committee; led and coordinated training for teachers, team writers, volunteers, and military spouses; planned and executed large-scale entertainment events; served in multiple positions in journalism and advertising; and was honored to lead a Family Readiness Group for the soldiers and families of an Army aviation unit during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In her off-time, Kathryn moonlights as a writer. Under the pen name Kathryn D. Fuller, she has authored two novels in the historical romance genre, set in regency England and Scotland in the early nineteenth century. She has also completed the first book of a six-book sci-fi/fantasy series under the pen name k.d. Douglas Fuller.
